PHOENIX, AZ — Skanska announces that Andy Rabasca, an industry veteran with 25 years of experience in commercial construction, has been promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction in Arizona.

Rabasca, who is based in Skanska’s Phoenix office, joined the company in 2012 and was most recently a Senior Preconstruction Director. He has served on the construction team for a variety of major projects throughout the west and southwest regions including the Banner Health Lassen Medical Center in California, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona.

"Andy has a strong understanding of project types in multiple sectors: aviation, data centers, micro-chip manufacturing, healthcare and retail projects. He is successful because he has shown he can adapt to a variety of project types and lead them successfully through the preconstruction process,” said Steve Stouthamer, Executive Vice President of Project Planning. "Andy is driven to help Skanska grow in Arizona by taking an active role in business development, operations and preconstruction."

“Since coming to Skanska nearly a decade ago as a Senior Project Manager, Andy has demonstrated his value as a leader on our regional preconstruction team,” said Ross Vroman, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Skanska’s Arizona construction operations. “We are excited to see him step into this expanded role and look forward to his contributions as Skanska continues to elevate our construction operations here in Phoenix and throughout the southwest.”

A third-generation contractor, Rabasca holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Arizona State University. He is OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified and also holds certifications in injury-free environment training and first aid.
