DALLAS, TX — Dan Thomas, AIA, ACHA, NCARB, EDAC, rejoins HDR as a Health Principal in the Dallas studio. In this position, Thomas will lead HDR’s health practice in the Dallas area, employing over 25 years of experience in patient-centered health care design and planning.

Thomas has a history of successful projects with HDR on his resume. He returns with a depth of experience in the business side of architecture and leading teams, and says he is looking forward to winning health care work and continuing to grow a strong practice in the South region.

“I am looking forward to working at a firm like HDR where I can have a hand in investing in the future of health care by building knowledge within our practice and mentoring the next generation of designers,” Thomas said.

“I am very excited to have Dan back at HDR,” said Jim Thomson, HDR’s Health Director in the Central region. “The perspective and health expertise he brings since being gone enhances the presence we have in Texas and the South Central region. I have full confidence in his leadership skills as our Health Principal and look forward to his vision of our future in health.”

Thomas recently served as Vice President and Health Care Director at CRTKL in Dallas. Prior to his role at CRTKL, Thomas was a Principal and Senior Vice President at HKS. Prior to his role at HKS, Thomas was an Associate Vice President and Senior Healthcare Architect at HDR.
