HOUSTON, TX — McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. announces an executive level change for the company’s Southern Region. Preston Hodges, who most recently served as Vice President of the Houston division, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Houston Business Unit Leader. He brings a depth of experience in both public and private sectors.

“Preston has proven to be a remarkable leader and great asset to McCarthy,” said McCarthy Southern Region President, Bryan Kuster. “Preston has played an integral part of McCarthy’s leadership team over the past three years, being able to help bring in record setting revenue for McCarthy’s Houston business unit."

Hodges joined McCarthy in 2013 as a Project Manager focusing mostly on major health care and research projects. Upon joining McCarthy, Hodges began executing the launch of the Specialized Solutions Group, which focuses on health care, research, and higher education renovations and expansions. Hodges then led McCarthy’s business development and then the operations group before being named Vice President.

Actively involved in the industry, Hodges currently serves on the board of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston chapter as well as the board of Construction Career Collaborative. He is also a member of the AGC Construction Futures Committee, American Society of Healthcare Engineers, American Hospital Association, and has served on the AGC Construction Leadership Council Board. Hodges earned a Bachelor of Science in construction science from Texas A&M University. In addition, he holds the following: American Hospital Association Certified Healthcare Constructor License, American Society for Healthcare Engineering Healthcare Construction Certificate, American Society for Healthcare Engineering Infection Control Certificate, and Associated General Contractors Project Manager Certificate.
