KATY, TX — LJA Engineering announces James E. Baker, PE as Senior Project Manager. Baker has more than 27 years of experience, six of those working for Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). He has knowledge of transportation projects from both the client and engineering side. This diverse background enables Baker to understand the entire project development process, from planning and schematic design to PS&E development and, ultimately, letting and construction.
He has managed and designed a wide range of projects across the state for TxDOT, Harris County Toll Road Authority, Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority, Montgomery County Toll Road Authority and multiple municipalities.

Baker will join an established and successful transportation team with over 85 personnel who specialize in planning, program management, civil engineering, structural engineering, right-of-way, hydrology & hydraulics, traffic, signaling, parking, lighting, ITS environmental services, rail services, marine services and construction engineering and inspection.
